BIKE FRIENDLY BUSINESS: CATALINA COFFEE OF REDONDO BEACH

Catalina Coffee, in Redondo Beach, has long been recognized by the cycling community as  
a bike friendly place to go. A short time back, it became official and the coffee house for having met the standards of the South Bay Bicycle Coalition’s new Bike Friendly Business designation. Catalina Coffee Company co owner, Jeff Sallee, purchased the former Yesterday’s and turned it into the Catalina Coffee Company in 2000, has been a big supporter of South Bay cyclists.

He feels that the more people riding bikes is all the better for our health, air quality and for the general quality of life in the whole neighborhood. Another fellow biker said; it’s good for our health, it’s good for the economy, it is good for the environment and it is good for us as a community.
