District Wellness Fair: Promoting Healthy Eating & Active Living

On Saturday, April 29, 2017, TUSD will be hosting a Community Wellness Resource Fair to promote healthy eating and active living in the Torrance community! The District’s Family Welcome & Enrollment Center, in collaboration with the Wellness Committee, would like to start “planting the seeds of wellness” by providing parents and community members a day full of healthy activities. Resources will be provided on improving overall individual health through exercise, nutrition, and social/emotional health.

The day will include many giveaways, which include:
*First 100 families will receive a free lunch bag
*First 50 families will receive free kids meal gift cards to chick-fil-a and mulligans (while supplies last)
*Free salad bar and strawberry snacks for attendees (while supplies last)
*All Day Raffle Giveaway – (must be present to win)

The Community Wellness Resource Fair will take place at the District Office, which is located at 2336 Plaza Del Amo, in the lawn area of the Family Welcome Enrollment Center. Parking will be available in the adjacent and lower lots next to the FWEC. The Fair will take place from 9 am to 1 pm and is free and open to the community.
