Happy Memorial Day
Memorial Day is a time to remember all those who have died in service to their country.
The day traces it roots to the period after the Civil War when groups began honoring Confederate and Union soldiers who died in the war. Southern veterans groups, particularly women’s organizations, had began the practice of decorating soldiers’ graves, recognizing both Union and Confederate troops. https://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2018/05/memorial_day_2018_holiday_hist.html
The South Bay celebrated Memorial Day today . From backyard barbeques to local sponsored events to remember our gone war heroes.
The Daily Breeze captured some of these moments.

Others have celebrated with well wishes.
Those who put their lives on the line knowing they may not make it back home, yet still continuing down the path to protect this great country and in the end making the ultimate sacrifice in service of their fellow American.
True heroes we may never thank enough.#MemorialDay— JJ Watt (@JJWatt) May 28, 2018
