LG Electronics and Pacific Sales Baking Contest Supports Torrance Schools

Torrance, CA – On Saturday, November 14, 2015, a very special event is taking place at the Pacific Sales in Torrance: the LG ProBake Bake-Off. LG, in collaboration with Pacific Sales and Torrance Unified School District, is hosting a large-scale baking competition and overall exciting event, filled with entertainment, educational activities and, of course, an abundance of baked goodies.

The three competing schools participating are Edison, Hickory and Victor Elementary Schools. The three teachers participating from those schools, Mrs. Gregorian, Ms. Kiley and Ms. Leyland, will be competing to hold the title of “Best Baker” while also vying for a significant monetary prize for their schools. Be a part of the competition by voting for your favorite baked good! The teacher with the most votes wins the grand prize for her school.

LG Electronics believes healthy eating and nutrition begins with healthy cooking, and supports school programs that encourage students to learn about and practice healthy living. Kids and parents attending the event will learn about taste profiles, baking chemistry and other cooking skills.

This event is designed to not only inform a large audience about the joys of baking but to also bring families, friends, teachers and the community together in the spirit of teaching important life skills, such as cooking. .

The event takes place from 10am to noon on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at the Pacific Sales in Torrance, located at 24120 Garnier Street. This is an interactive event, and audience members will be able to vote for their favorite teachers, so make sure to come by!
