Manhattan Beach City Vitality Tied to Local Businesses

In a July economic forum, Manhattan Beach Finance Director Bruce Moe reported several large properties that provide the bulk of the cities revenues.

Raliegh Studios, Apple Computer, Macy’s, Ralphs, REI, and BevMo. The citys ten largest businesses generate 50% of the city’s sales tax revenue. The Manhattan Beach Mall accounts for 29%of the city’s sales tax.
