October is Breast Health Awareness Month
October is Breast Health Awareness Month. The American Cancer Society reports that one out of every 8 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer during her lifetime, a very disturbing number. Now is the time for your daughter, mother, grandmother, girlfriend, sister, mother-in-law or any female co-worker, to get a Breast check-up.
Some women will go the traditional way — a Mammogram. For those considering a non-traditional procedure consider Breast Thermography. This is a non-invasive, pain free, touch free and radiation free screening tool that helps detect potential problems in your breast in the very early stages. It was FDA approved in 1982, the same year mammograms were approved. For women who want to avoid radiation, who are under 45, are pregnant or have dense breasts, it is a wonderful tool.
Dr Diane Jordan, DC, has been offering Breast Thermography in her Redondo Beach office since 2007, years longer than anyone else in the South Bay. Dr. Jordan has been certified by three different thermography associations and she and her assistant Janice Borst-Smith offer a safe, comfortable and private experience.
For National Breast Health Awareness Month right now, they are offering Breast Thermography for only $175 (regular rate $225).
