# Ponte Vista in San Pedro gets Partial Approval

Well it looks like after years of delay and controversy, the 700-unit plan for Ponte Vista in San Pedro was approved at a public hearing on Dec 17th. This area is the past home of former Navy housing on Western Ave.

A hearing with the full Los Angeles City Council will be scheduled in early 2014. And with the planning commission approval, it will not doubt be approved.
One thing for sure it will be a great boost in the local economy. And secondly will be such an improvement to the area. Look below to see what the neighborhood looks like now.
