The South Bay’s Got Talent
The Torrance Cultural Arts Center is holding a new South Bay talent show. From their press release:
Do you sing like a nightingale, dance like Fred Astaire, can you channel Marlon Brando from the Godfather, or make a room full of people laugh till they cry – if you do, then you are talented and we want to see you on the James Armstrong stage. This year’s South Bay’s Got Talent is the inaugural talent event hosted by the Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation. The Foundation has been a longtime supporter of local artist and now wants to see them gathered on one stage for a night of fantastic fun.
Auditions will be held on September 8 and 9, 2014 at the Armstrong Theater with the main performance on Saturday, September 27, 2014. All genres of talent are accepted: Music, dance, acting, variety, etc. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The talent show is open to all residence of the South Bay which includes Beach Cities (Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach), the Palos Verdes Peninsula, neighborhoods of the City of Los Angeles (Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, San Pedro and Wilmington), El Segundo, inland cities of the South Bay (Hawthorne, Inglewood, Gardena, Carson, Lawndale, Torrance, and Lomita).
