Torrance Loves Torrance
Residents love living in Torrance — and businesses seem pleased as well — even as the city’s demographics change.
Faith in the government, however, has dipped over the last five years.
At least that’s what two independent studies, commissioned by the City Council, found when surveying the community and looking at Torrance’s economic climate, according to the recently released results.
The first study, conducted by FM3 Research over a two-week period in January and February, surveyed more than 1,300 residents and 300 businesses in Torrance. The survey found that 93 percent of residents think Torrance is an excellent or good place to live, and 90 percent of business owners think the city is a good town in which to run a company.
