Torrance Will Ask Voters For More Bond Money For Schools
The City of Torrance will ask for $200 million from voters to fund more school construction. This comes six short years after approving $355 million worth of construction bond measure.
The fastest manifestations from the last funding was brand new sports fields at all four high schools. Many school have since been remodeled.
The Torrance school board decided to place the measures on the ballot in a unanimous vote Tuesday night, arguing that these projects are needed to complete the second half of a $500 million master plan crafted in 2007.
